Lodging; Inkeeper Sayed Saleh invests the Orchards with international flavor and Old World elegance
Issue: July 2006

" Initially hired to enhance the hotel's corridors, Caligari eventually completed a three year, multi-million-dollar renovation, including installation of a stone facade and fountain to improve the hotel's entrance and redecorating the fourty-nine rooms and suites - each of which is unique and about one-third larger than the average hotel room - for a more gracious, Old-World feel. When a pipe burst in the dining room, causing the ceiling to collapse, Saleh took the opportunity to have Caligari redo the hotel's jewel-tone dining room, Yasmin's Restaurant..."

Christine Allison on Decoration Inspiration
Issue: February 2006

" For years my house in Dallas was not so much a blissful retreat, but a place I went to cook (on rare occasions), do homework with the children, and watch “Law and Order.” This is a pitiful confession, but I make it to explain why my recent stay at Canyon Ranch health resort in the Berkshires had such a powerful effect.

The room, designed by William Caligari of Great Barrington, Mass., was hotel design at its best: In this case, the designer took the assignment to extend the restorative powers of the spa to 126 guest rooms, and succeeded. ...."
